"My children have had such positive and enriching experiences at St. Elias that I never hesitate to recommend the centre to family and friends. All the teachers have been warm and welcoming and have helped my children to feel confident and secure while they are at ‘school'. My youngest child especially enjoyed the sensory activities and crafts in her Toddler class, and took great pride in bringing her creations home with her. She was very excited to graduate to the Preschool class and now looks forward to the community and nature walks that they take regularly. When my older child started Preschool she was fascinated by bugs. Her teachers were quick to encourage this interest and within a few days her teacher had collected a variety of books and activities about insects which allowed my child to explore this area of interest in great depth. I was very impressed by the teacher’s attention to each child’s areas of interest and the ability to incorporate those interests into their daily activities. Since starting at St. Elias over 9 months ago I have seen my children grow and develop socially, in their language abilities, and also in their level of independence skills. They love coming to school each morning, and I love leaving them in the care of a centre that is clean, safe, organized, welcoming, and that serves freshly home cooked healthy foods. I have had only positive experiences with all the staff from Karen who first welcomed me to the centre, to the teachers, the chef, and the cleaning staff. Thank you!"

"As a parent of two small children I found it very stressful when choosing the right daycare for my children. Imagine trusting someone with the two most important things to me. I felt like I couldn't do it! Until my husband suggested going to check out the St. Elias Child Care Center. When we went there and Karen the executive director met with us, she made us feel like we were talking to family. It wasn't business, it was a family place! I left with only one concern and it was how am I going to drive from Orleans to Money's Bay everyday there's got to be something closer. But when I woke up the next morning I didn't care about driving 40 minutes and now 4 months later I still don't care about the drive. I have peace of mind that my kids are in the best care with people who treat them like family and not like it's their job. I think they love my two kids as much as I do! On weekends my kids cry because they aren't going to school and that by itself speaks volumes!"

More than that, you want an environment in which your child can thrive, learn, grow, develop, and be supported, well nourished, directed appropriately and respected. If you can't be a stay-at-home parent, then you want your child to be in the best possible hands. Your child is precious. This is how I feel when I leave my daughter in the care of Karen Nesrallah and the collective staff at St. Elias Child Care and Family Resource Centre. I like their philosophy of learning and how they encourage social development as well as daily physical education.

"On Tuesday my husband and I met with Ben's OCTC Behavioural Therapist to review her report. We were discussing her observations of Ben in the daycare setting. She had observed Ben at both St Elias and the previous centre that he attended. She made a point of telling us that she felt the daily structure, care and energy of St Elias was far superior to the other centre. She went on to say that she was very impressed by St Elias. Considering she observes children in a daycare setting all the time, I felt this was high praise that I wanted to share with you. I must admit, this compliment came as no surprise to me, as I have been beyond pleased with your centre every day since Ben started in November. You, Rachel, Tanya and Ashley have been wonderful with Ben. The fact that his transition went so smoothly is a testament to the centre and staff. I thank Tanya and Ashley every day when I pick-up Ben, and these thank-yous are not just polite lip-service, I am truly thankful to them and to you. I feel that finding St Elias was (and continues to be) a blessing.
